Thread: Losses double for U.S. Postal Service

The U.S. Postal Service more than doubled its losses in fiscal year 2010, despite cutting billions of dollars in expenses and trimming its staff.

The Postal Service said its net loss totaled $8.5 billion in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30. That compares to a loss of $3.8 billion the prior year.

They will eventually cut out saturday delivery. This will mess up the new business I want to start.

It will suck if they close on Saturdays!

Look for stamps and other mailing costs to go up next year for sure.

The post office sucks. When I go there, I always have to wait in line for about 10-20 minutes.

They are going to make huge cutbacks in the next 1-2 years.

How are they going to run Obama care if everything else they run goes broke?

The recession is killing them too because companies are not sending out as much junk mail as they used to.
